Jon C. Barton, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Jon began his career with the Home Insurance Company in Providence, RI in 1977 as a Commercial Casualty underwriter. He later transferred to North Haven, CT, where he specialized in Inland and Ocean Marine insurance as well as fidelity and surety bond underwriting. He later worked for the Hartford Insurance Company of Manchester, NH, as a Marine Manager traveling throughout New England.

In 1984, he purchased The Archie Slawsby Agency, Inc., from Mr. Slawsby's estate, and began a rebuilding and acquisition phase that continues to the present. He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1989 and his Certified Insurance Wholesaler (CIW) designation in 1996. He has served on numerous insurance industry committees and advisory boards, and is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, The National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, The American Association of Managing General Agents, and the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.

Tom Mulligan, Vice President
Tom started his insurance career at New Hampshire Insurance in 1978. He has worked for two other large national insurance companies as a commercial underwriter prior to joining Slawsby Insurance Agency in 1992. Tom specializes in programs for manufacturers, recyclers, machine shops and the high tech industry. In his role as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, his responsibilities also include assisting and motivating account executives.

Kendra Cote, Customer Service Manager
Originally from Rhode Island, Kendra has worked her way up the ladder from receptionist to customer service representative with two Manchester area agencies. She had also worked in all areas of customer service at Slawsby Insurance Agency prior to being named Customer Service Manager in 2008. Her hands-on experience makes her uniquely qualified to solve customer problems quickly and efficiently.

Terry Tyler, Accounting Manager – Terry came to us from HUB International in Wilmington, where he worked as an accountant in their finance department. Prior to that he was the comptroller for Rome Insurance for 10 years. Terry joined our team in 2009, and is responsible for all of our accounting needs.
